EMPLOYMENT

1987 to present day:
Self employed Consultant Engineer, primarily in the TV broadcasting industry.
Close and long standing relationships with my principal clients have been responsible not only for my own success but also the success of my clients’ businesses. As a sole trader I am responsible for all aspects of my business including:
· Project management
· Engineering design and consultancy
· Finding and retaining clients
· Financial decisions

1978 to 1987:
Worked in electronics research, design and development for several companies.

OTHER ORGANISATIONS & INTERESTS

Broadcast Engineering Conservation Group (BECG)
2020 to present day: Founding trustee and treasurer of this charity dedicated to the preservation of UK television history, focusing on the engineering aspects.

British Vintage Wireless Society (BVWS)
1985 to present day: Member; 1998 to 2004: Honorary Treasurer
· My principal interest is in the history of television.
· I organise a series of occasional lectures at BVWS meetings
· I have written a number of articles and book reviews for the BVWS Bulletin, mainly on television related subjects.

I am a life member of the National Trust and a member of the Art Fund

I enjoy going to concerts and listening to music; mainly classical, jazz and world.
I like to go walking in the country.
